Program fee is $215 per player. Fees will be due November 7th. Make checks payable to Vandalia Butler Youth Basketball. The fees cover administration fees, insurance, facility rentals, equipment, uniforms and officials.

Playing Time:
This is a select program that does not guarantee playing time. In the past, our coaches have made great efforts to make sure each player played enough to feel part of the team and to further develop them as players. However, each game presents a different set of circumstances and challenges pertaining to playing time that may limit a child's participation in any given game.

The purpose of the program is to give advanced players in grades 3-6 an opportunity to play against and practice with players at a higher level. Playing at a higher level means players possess quality basketball skills, focus on team play, respect the game and the process, and demonstrate discipline and good sportsmanship. The VYB teams will play in the youth version of the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC). The GWOC is a member of the Miami Valley Metro basketball league and competes at the highest level for this age group. Players on the VYB teams MUST attend school in the Vandalia-Butler School District, (including St. Christopher Elementary School).

Games:
The goal of the program will be to have a 20-25 game regular season schedule. Winter weather conditions can affect actual number of games played. Re-scheduling a cancelled game is not always possible. The GWOC regular season runs from 12/4-2/19 and the end of the season tournament begins 2/25/12. Most games will be played on weekends within that time frame.

Vandalia Youth Basketball serves 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade boys attending Vandalia-Butler schools.
Reminder! All VYB players are invited to attend Vandalia Butler's Varsity Basketball game on Friday February 10th to be introduced at 7:30. If attending, please be there by 7pm wearing your purple uniforms and shooting shirts. Players will be admitted free, all others will have to pay the regular admission price ($4 student or $6 adult).
